Kick Ass is the adaptation of the current comic book of the same name . In the comic Dave Lizewski is at high school , sort of quietly fading into the background . Comics are his bag though and one day he decides to become a real life superhero , buying an wet suit from E bay and making his first super suit . Unfortunately being a real life superhero has its drawbacks or highlights depending on your perspective . After one encounter a beaten Dave takes off his costume to protect his identity . Dave is then run over by a car ( shit happens !) and is then found naked .
On hearing that the script was fully faithfull to the comic in every way and that Aaron Jonson had been seen working out with Action Alex Pettyfer . I tried to secure a part as an extra but was told this scene would be shot on a closed set and only Aaron's personnel photographer Kai Z peng would be allowed access .
