The Adonis - Brave
Yes while on location for ' Chatroom ' and sporting a goatee and very retro hair styling , the Adonis took time time out from filming , addressed the assembled crew and his fan base with a brave plea for clemency . Happily the situation was resolved by the kindly and understanding presence of a passing off duty Police Detective , who recognised the Adonis from 'Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging' .
Actually after watching one interview recently where the Adonis appeared to be in a ' heightened state of awareness' , it was lovely to finally see him in action and in character as Kick Ass thanks to 'Undercover Fan Boy' who snuck in his camera and uploaded the Comic Con footage . I thought how cool , 'its the comic come to life kinda vibe' but with so much more and a totally mad bit , where Hit Girl cussing away dispatches the baddies to the 'Banana Split Show' ' La La song ' . I was also thrilled that the Kick Ass costume appears to fit the Adonis rather snugly in all the right places .
The violence is very much in evidence and like the comic its pretty shocking in the sense that its an ordinary teenager out there with out any special powers or years of training . Set this against the filming style which the director said he wanted bright crisp and clear and the black sense of humour running all the through . You of course have an original hit on your hands . Adding even more to the film , comes the news that the film makers have approached Craig Armstrong to score the film .
