The Muse Behind the Song: Pattie Boyd part I

I'd like to start off my first muse post on someone who I consider the greatest rock and roll muse of all time: Patricia Anne Boyd. A model during the sixties and seventies, Pattie was just 19 when she caught the eye of George Harrison on the set of The Beatles film A Hard Day's Night. From then on she was the inspiration for all the love songs George wrote: "For You Blue", "It's All Too Much", "I Need You", and "Something", among others. It seems that everyone who met Pattie fell for her charms, and her list of admirers included Mick Jagger, John Lennon, Ron Wood, Donovan, and Eric Clapton.

  

When they first met on the set of A Hard Day's Night. George ended up conveniently sitting next to Pattie during lunch.

Now we have a chance to see close friend of the 'Rock Cherub' and looking well, as camp as a vamp its Jamie Bower ! . I can just see Jamie and the Rock Cherub together on the red carpet of lust come premiere time ! and not to be out done and how lovely to see him in a tailored Vamp outfit for a change , yes he's still channelling the spirit of a undead Joe Jonas , its Cam ! with 'High Impact Colour' lipstick by Clinique.

Behind the Rock and Roll Scene with Miss O'Dell

A rock muse in her own right, Chris O'Dell has led an amazing life, and she tells all about it in her new book: My Hard Days and Long Nights with The Beatles, The Stones, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, and the Women They Loved. Chris was first invited to work at Apple by Derek Taylor, and soon became a trusted personal assistant and tour manager for some of the most influential musicians of the sixties and seventies. She was also the inspiration for George Harrison's "Miss O'Dell" and Leon Russell's "Pisces Apple Lady." Her book comes out October 6th and promises to give a revealing glimpse to what happened behind the scenes with some of the greatest musicians of that time.

How lovely to see that Christian Cooke is back on the small screen this September , in a state of undress in ITVs sure to be ratings winner ' Trinity ' which is about life at one of Britain's top universities. ( yes apparently we still have them )

'' All is not what it seems at Trinity. Beneath the glossy, glamorous veneer of wealth and privilege lurks a darker world, one governed by strict codes of conduct, secret societies such as the mysterious Dandelion Club, and the whims of a select group of over-privileged students used to getting their own way '' goes the blurb .

Well the Dandelion Club sounds interesting and of course any programme that features Christian losing his clothes in a variety of situations can only be a good thing . Now if only Austin Bulter could guest star as a overseas student on loan from Berkley who is 'unsure' about his place in the world .

Holy Hair Straighteners !

I do like a good premiere , the red carpet , the interviews , one of my secret ambitions was to be a ' walker ' . Of course I can think of many a dreamboat I'd have loved to walk up the red carpet, and here's Logan looking lovely of course , but sans close friend Dean who of course used to accompany Logan to his premieres . Logan was wowing the crowds at the premiere of 'My One and Only' .

No that's not Logan's new walker or Sugar Daddy ( Perish the thought! ) it is of course George Hamilton whose younger self Logan is playing .

Thanks to Charmants.com , I spotted Hero magazine I thought what a rare thing a fashion magazine at an affordable price , I guess I'm thinking of Electric Youth here . Hero features 28 model boiz and will come out twice a year . Apparently for some of the models it was their first time . Lovely .
