David by Keith Munyan
Well in between killing time waiting for the new 'Killers' long player , I've been bopping to David Archuletas self titled debut , which really does have a great big shiny pop production . One song though which has got some killer hooks is ' Touch My Hand ' .The story of the song has David on stage and seeing the person of his dreams of course he's singing to a girl , but in the lyrics the gender of the said sonnet recivier is never made clear .
Morrissey of course has made this a signature of his song writing , and when he did actually name his suitor in ' Dear God Please Help Me ' that he was singing to a about an affair with a man it came of course as no great surprise . No doubt to Morrissey , David is the anthesisis of what a pop star is or should be . One thing is for sure David does have a great pop vocal , high low and breathy .
Another long player I was looking to forward to was by Keith Jack ,the lovely Keith was runner up in a reality show to find a new Joesph for the West End . Keith had a great voice but sadly didn't win . But the production on his album is soooo disappointing great swathes and washes of synthesisers where a real orchestra should be .
