Millions of teenage girls who tuned in to see Taylor Launter (the Montgomery Clift of his generation ) latest appearance in top rated drama 'My Own Worst Enemy' were stunned , when the teen dream appeared only at end of the show and then remained silent during a moving scene in which the family gathered to watch some old home movies . Thousands of fans contacted the network concerned that the teen idol had lost his voice due to his werewolf vocal training for the follow up to this falls most anticipated movie Twilight . In fact the real story for Taylor's silence was in fact of an artistic nature .
The young actor was in fact channelling the legendary Greta Garbo in his performance . Garbo was famous for her performances during the silent screen era . When asked for a comment the idol of millions of teenage girls commented '' I did have a few lines in that last scene , but when it came to the filming I decided to invoke the awesome spirit of Garbo , it was a risk but I think it paid off .''
