I've always had a soft spot for the very talented Kate Winslet the 'Doris Day' of her generation , ever since she was going to throw herself of the bow off the Titanic . As we know then reigning 'Teen God' Leonardo DiCaprio rescued her and movie history was made . Actually I always thought there was some cool role reversal thing going on in Titanic with Leo playing the more softer feminine role and Kate rescuing him , particularly when she grabbed an axe to set Leo free in one scene .
Kate's starring in Reader (2008) directed by Steven 'Billy' Daldry . What caught my eye in the trailer was Kate's beau David Kross , whose getting some great reviews as the young student Kate's character has an affair with . Of course my movie mind reeled back and I remembered him from Knallhart aka Tough Enough (2006) where he sulked and pouted all the way through to great effect . Well David's star is certainly on the ascent . As well as Reader in which Stephen Daldry apparently had to wait until David had turned 18 to film the ' steamy' sex scenes with Kate .David also stars in Krabat (2008)aka the 'Satantic Mill' in which a young man is seduced by the black arts for a change .
