Yes I finally got round to seeing Dive !! and what a lovely film film it is for well various reasons . Whats not to like about watching three super twinks in packed speedos spending an average of 80 % in said packed speedos diving , walking up to the diving board , emerging dripping out of the water on completion of dive and even hanging out in the locker room in said packed speedos and at one point working out in said packed speedos . Of course there's a lot more than that .
You can smile to yourself at how Tomoki - Blue Trunks (great abs and the more slender of the three ) emotes and well just plain idolises top diver Yoichi - Yellow speedo ( great everything loves to adjust his speedo around his amazing butt ) and lastly Sulky Shibuki who packs his speedo with quite a punch .

At one point straight after Sulky Shibuki removes his speedo after an intense session , the awesome Yoichi walks in and glances over at the naked Sukly Shibuki who then after getting a towel , the pair have the bizarre face off , only to be interrupted by 'Diamond eyes' himself -Tomoki who glances over at them both . Is he thinking 'what I just walked in on?' . By the way I have no idea why the head lady coach calls young Tomoki 'Diamond Eyes' but as Variety pointed out in thier review apparently she does this straight away .
Maybe that should be 'had' a girlfriend , for the lovely Diamond eyes as been training overtime and his good looking brother has being seeing his girlfriend behind his brothers back . It takes lady ninja head coach to burst into Diamond eyes bedroom and shake the pyjama wearing Diamond eyes out of his speedo stupor .

Diamond Eyes is barely able to contain his excitement after the awesome Yoichi performs another amazing Dive .
But when Diamond Eyes attempts a high dive , he is distracted when a team mate is despeedoed as he dives past
The rivalry begins as Yoichi meets Sulky Shibuki for the first time .

'Stay away from Diamond eyes , he has a girlfriend !'
'So...' replies the Sulky Shibuki tauntingly .
'Diamond eyes ! we were just talking about you '
'You Were ?'
'Yes whose Speedo is more packed ,mine or your close friend and hero Yochie ?'
' I don't know Shibuki its hard to say and your wearing a towel and I have a girlfriend '

Mean while Sulky Shibuki has returned to distant Tsugaru peninsula where he contemplates his future .Should he stay as a fisherman and wonder about the ethics of fishing in these dark eco times ? or should he return to the team and decided who he really wants Yoichi or Diamond eyes ? . Before this burning question can be answered . Diamond eyes and Yoichi turn up in the fishing village for once not in their speedos . They ask Suly Shibuki to come back to the team . Sulky Shibuki agrees and the three celebrate in a romantic leap of the cliff ( See the Basket Ball Diaries for reference )
Has Harmony finally arrived for the Supertwinks of Dive !! ? sadly not , the pressure gets to Yoichi , is it the pressure of fighting his true feelings for Diamond eyes or is the constant readjusting of his speedos before each dive and emergence out of the pool ? Soon though Yoichi is back to diving following Sulky Shibuki turning up at his flat , a dream come true ? Not really Sulky Shibuki has turned up to ask Yoichi to see Diamond eyes dive yet again . But Diamond eyes dive goes wrong and Yoichi dives into save him whipping off his top before diving in . (Maybe it was a designer one and been affected by the chlorine.)

The three supertwink divers are finally united to perform at a big diving competition , the pressure does get to Yoichi again but this gives us an opportunity to watch him drip water on himself from his dive towel . All 3 produce stunning speedo dives and live happily ever after .
I really liked this film , and it has lovely sweeping and zooming camera shots as the divers perch high on the board . I'd love to see a subtitled version too , just to understand the story better .I can't wait to see John Walters version of this Speedo Super Twink Classic .
