Taylor broke the news that he had found that special someone on leaving the gym after yet another workout . Literary Boners

On this weeks United States of Tara , Marshall (Keir Gilchrist) wanted to discuss his knowledge of literary boners , but his teacher was having none of it . Well I'm all for openness as even the writers of Batman way back when were , as the 'Caped Crusader' battled with the Jokers boner .



Of course this then got me nostalgic  for the 'Greysons' which would have been the Boy Wonders solo debut on TV and  could have been a great show had the CW not pulled the plug before the script was even written . We could have had scenes like this ...

Then that sequence made me think of Matt Prokop  and his fantastic fringe who would have made a great Robin , see he's even got the suit and the pose .

Matts Teen Angst !

Just why is the lovely  Matt looking so full of angst ? could it be that Disney have put the golden handcuffs on him for a life times worth of shows on the Disney Channel ?( well there are worse things that could happen to a rising teen idol of millions ) No ,the lovely Matt is clearly worried of a potential desertion of his fan base when they found out that his new show  Motherhood debuts in  Ugly Betty time slot on 26th March  and Ugly Betty goes on hiatus until Motherhood finishes its run Ugly Betty should return around June . Why have ABC programmers behaved like Wilhelmina at her finest ?

Meanwhile in Kyle Xy , the lovable cocky Josh finally lost it , sadly not to Kyle who is more hung up on Princess Amanda than ever . 

Supernatural skool daze .

Coach Josh - You can blow my Whistle !

Yes meet Coach Josh , this week on Supernatural Sam and Dean go undercover at their old school , well Dean does and becomes Coach Josh ! The preview clip for this scene  is pretty funny , but in true Supernatural style and given there are flashbacks to the Spook busting duos younger selves featuring Brock Kelley as Dean and Colin Ford as Sam or Sammy ( apparently only Dean can call Sam ' Sammy ' awww )

Meanwhile rumours persist that the producers are thinking of introducing a 3rd Winchester brother ( actually  and I'm one for fantasy casting myself , I think this one may turn out to be a bit of a wheeze  on behalf of the producers ) so lets roll out the legendary Dreamboats casting couch !

I saw that the incredibly  handsome Ryan Merriman  had been posted over at 'Famous Males' and I thought who better to be a Winchester brother with his tall and  muscular presence . 

My other choice would be of course Brit spook buster and maybe my current favorite Dreamboat; Christian Cook, lets look at those credentials . Christian knows all the spooks and vampires in the universe , well alright Britain .He's so far resisted the charms of the girl who follows him around . Sleeps in just his boxer trunks  , knows how to handle himself in a fight . His hair always looks amazing ) a key Winchester gene see Jared ' lovely locks ' Padalecki and of course has the most tight  muscular body when the writers deemed it to be shown ( oddly also a key supernatural writers/producers tease ). So he could be the prefect Winchester !

Hollywood Dreaming .

Yes its the lovely Matt under his sun shade , in his garden high in the hollywood hills . Matt of course will be starring , well allright he's got a 'recurring role ' in ABC's new spring comedy 'In The Motherhood' . The show apparently offers a fresh look at the double lives of modern mothers. Rosemary (Megan Mullally, Will & Grace) is a free wheeling 50-year-old mom who plays it fast and loose when it comes to parenting her perfect teenager ( Matt ) personally I'd rather its Matt's character that was ' Fast and Loose ' but hey .

Sigh dream casting indeed , but here's yet another lovely picture of 'the Montgomery Clift of his generation '. I really like this shot , Kinda cool to see him doing a non killer watt smile .

Tony Ollers Swishy Hair Parade

You know people talk a lot about the rebirth of Disney's animation department , equally phenomenal is the continuing rise of Disney's hearthrob production department , yes its a neverending and seemingly interchangeable roster of teen idols who continue to make programming , music and tours to last well forever . Flying out next of the hearthrob studio is Tony Oller , star of 'As the Bell Rings'  a reimagining of the classic Saved By The Bell , this time focusing on Zac and Slaters relationship with Screech, now Screech has come out . Tony's a  singer too , musically theres a bit of Jesse Mcartney , a bit of Jonas and maybe a bit of Will Young in Tonys voice . If I was Tony and wanted a perfect pop album , I'd hire David Archulletas writing and production team or maybe Xenomania who worked on the new Pet Shop Boys Album . Anyways lets now pause for a moment and sit back and wonder at the sheer swishyness of Tony luscious locks and hope that our favourite photographer Kieth Munyan books Tony in for a shoot soon .

Marshall and homemaker Alice 'Make mine a Sea Breeze'

I found out about this show on AfterElton , so as I like lead actress Toni Collette and the premise that the show included a gay son Marshall played by Keir Gilchrist . I thought I'd give it a watch. . In short the premise is how Tara ( Toni Collette ) copes with having multiple personalities and the impact this has on her life with her family . At first I found the randomness of how many of her personalities visited the show a bit distracting . Although I guess given it was the pilot they wanted to show as many of the other personalities as possible and how the other characters interacted or coped with them . Certainly Toni Collete embodies all the characters with a sense of believability , but if I was her husband Max the lovely John Corbett I'd would have been out of there in a second . But the lovely John in his laconic delivery says I've been married to this for 15 years etc '' give the man a medal .

Saint John

Her children react to their mums personalities differently . Her daughter Kate (Brie Larson) loves hanging with ''T' a sort of bratty horny rebel teen rebel , her son Marshall the movie , cake baking teen has to endure cracks at his sexuality when mum morphs into her trucker personality named 'Buck' . As a character Marshall's a lot less out there than say the musical and fashion loving Justin from Ugly Betty ,but just as interesting  with his home baking in the kitchen .

I'm not sure seeing all these different personalities will become kinda tiresome week after week , maybe it depends how much you like the personalities and we have yet to meet homemaker Alice and her perfect backing . If you compare The United States of Tara to recent Brit comedy 'Life of Riley ' swishy haired Taylor Fawcett excluded , then Showtimes new comedy is a gem indeed.

Superhero Worship .

Sadly for me , but I cant say I was surprised when Lightning Lad kept his pants on during 'Legion' on Smallville . This episode was an okay follow up to a great episode the Bride.However Lightning Lad (Calum Worthy) actually had some of the best lines such as '' Kal wheres your cape '' to which the most handsome man to ever walk the earth replies '' What cape ?'' . Upon finding Supertoms 'Crowes' football jacket he is equally exited But Cosmic Boy -cool casting and really well played by Ryan Kennedy tells him to leave Supertoms possessions alone .

But Lightning Lad can't help himself when he finds Supertoms ball , which he asks Supertom to autograph ( how sweet ) which of course the most handsome man in the solar system does with his heat vision .

Lightning Lad finally has to leave with the othe members of the legion , quite a funny scene , as after the other members of the Legion have said there goodbyes ;Cosmic Boy - solemn and respectful . Saturn Girl- a kiss on the cheek , Lightning Lad is still standing by Supertom looking at him , until Supertom gives him a commanding look which appears to acknowledge the hero worship going on . The flame haired Lightning Lad looks up and shyly smiles and walks over to the other Legion members and off they whoosh back to the future .

Aarons Sundance Shorts

Yes as we breathlessly await the news if Aaron will be gracing the premier of his film ' The Greatest ' tomorrow at the Sundance Film festival , I thought I'd take a brief look at the world of short films . The first collection of shorts I brought , were collected together by the now defunked label 'Dangerous To Know' a label which released a number of Gay films . I think it was quite ahead of its time .

Boys On Film had a great short - Pool Days in which a cute high scholar Justin takes a job at a local health club in between cleaning out the steam room , surprisingly filled with white towel glad hunks . Justin battles with his feelings aroused by flirty speedo wearing health instructor 'Naughty Nick' Of course he succumbs Justin that it is and gives in . ( sadly by not wearing a speedo and doing laps together. ) I think that could have been more interesting, than the kiss the two share.

Wow ! Its A VHS Video tape cover - Dreamboats goes old skool!

One of the great things about the Internet, is that you can now download some shorts you like, rather than buying the whole collection .( Mind you I have always been partial to a bit of pick and mix ,'Woolworths R.I.P' ) The best collection of shorts outside of Zeke , Ringo and Declan from Neighbours would be I guess the 'Boys Briefs Series' released by 'Picture This' which contains some great shorts . One I really liked and look forward to seeing was BugCrush(2006) in which High School loner Blond Ben is literally crushed by his crush !

Bugcrush is a great short , full of atmosphere and shot in such a low key way it kind of reminded me a bit of Gus Van Sants work crossed with Cam Archer. Carter Smith who directed Bugcrush is a Fashion Photographer who has since gone on to make the Ruins (2008) a horror film which is just okay spook viewing ,even with the presence of 'Iceman' - Shawn Ashmore.

Bugcrush debuted at the Sundance Film Festival where it won the jury prize for short filming making . Looking at the previews for Sundance this year I didn't really see any standouts on the gayside of life, but debut short film from Irish director Connor Clements entitled 'James' which has been gathering awards and in turn great reviews .

Young James struggles with his sexuality and his teacher, Mr. Sutherland, is the only person he feels he can connect with. When James finally puts a voice to his feelings, Mr. Sutherland’s response isn't what James had hoped for. Oh dear poor James , Niall Wright who plays James has a great face , conveying both his disappoint and fear . I didn't really like the ending but on reflection you can see why it happened as James seemed so desperate for the right kind of love ,even if it ended with him getting the wrong kind .

Bruce Weber , The Original Dreamboat Photographer

I honestly cant remember when I saw my first Bruce Weber picture , I'm guessing maybe it was in the Face magazine perhaps . Bruce has photographed a number of Dreamboats over the years Brad Renfro , Matt Dillion , Matt Damon Marky Mark , River Phoenix and keanu Reeves . For me a bit like another chap whose work I really like and admire Morrissey . Weber's work has maybe stood still but every now and again he will photograph something or someone that I really Like . I'd Love to see him him work with Taylor Launter for instance or maybe Logan Lerman . From what I can gather Bruce is often very drawn to whom he chooses to work with , from landscape to film icons to his beloved Dogs . A great artist indeed .

Yes arm chair shoppers were stunned when teen dream Taylor 'Biceps Peaks' Launter turned up on the home shopping channel QVC to present a special series of products that the teen god had himself had been working on in between work outs for the Twilight sequel ' New Moon '. 

Home shoppers gasped and grabbed their phones and rang in to buy the first Item a 'Skull T shirt' designed by Taylor himself .  Superstar designer karl lagerfeld  described the T shirt as a testament to his talent as a budding  fashion designer . ''That gifted young man looked into the mirror ,he faced his demons and came out the other side .''

For his final product developed by Taylor and conjunction with Apple is a truly amazing device '' A Teen Idol Recasting  Alarm Alert '' This light easy to use device with GPS tracking and face recognition software , emits a sonic alarm when your part is up for recasting . This could be for a number of reasons ; you want a salary increase but the studio cant afford to give you one ,your in danger of being replaced by a younger or in extreme cases an older model .
